Project A28 concept render in black with gold pinstripes

Project A28 is the first Khumalo hypercar. It is a concept in development in Cape Town. The images you see on this website are concept renders, not photographs of a finished car.

What is planned

  • A naturally aspirated engine, with no turbochargers and no hybrid assistance.
  • A six-speed manual with a visible metal gate.
  • A carbon-fibre monocoque, planned to be designed and built in Khumalo's own workshop.
  • Production planned at fewer than one hundred cars, each finished to its owner's specification.

Plans can change as engineering work goes on, and we will say so here when they do. Specifications are not final, and we do not publish performance figures until they have been measured.

How to follow it

Explore the car in the A28 studio, see the planned systems on the engineering page, design your own in the atelier, or subscribe to the Journal at the foot of this page.
