Mechanical purity
Technology that serves the driver and never filters the experience. Every touch, sound and motion should feel alive.
The systems
How the A28 will be built
Each system shows its status. Nothing here is a verified production figure yet. Performance data will be published once it has been measured.
A naturally aspirated V12
No turbochargers and no hybrid assistance. The engine is chosen for response and sound, and supplied by a specialist motorsport engine partner. Khumalo tunes the intake and exhaust note itself, because the sound is part of the car's character.
- Configuration
- V12, naturally aspirated

Six speeds, through an open gate
A manual gearbox with a visible metal gate, so every change is felt and heard. The gear linkage and pedal box are engineered in-house to give the mechanical feel the car is built around. Try the gate below.

A carbon-fibre monocoque
The monocoque is the core of the car. It sets the stiffness, the weight and the proportions, which is why it is planned to be designed and built in Khumalo's own workshop rather than bought in.
- Chassis
- Carbon-fibre monocoque
- Built by
- Khumalo R&D workshop
- Body
- Composite, designed in-house
Air, shaped by the body
There is no fixed wing. Air is managed through channels sculpted into the bodywork, and any active elements stay hidden until they are needed, so the silhouette stays clean at rest.
- Approach
- Concealed channels
- Active aero
- Hidden until deployed
- Visible wing
- None
Tuned for the road, proven on track
Fully adjustable suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes come from specialist motorsport partners and are tuned to the Khumalo chassis.

An analogue sanctuary
Mechanical gauges, tactile switches and natural materials. Technology is there to serve the driver, never to filter the experience.
- Gauges
- Mechanical, analogue
- Materials
- Leather, wood, titanium
- Switchgear

The gate
Feel every change
An open metal gate guides the lever into each gear with a defined, mechanical click. Drag the lever through the gate, or choose a gear below.
